At the press conference at the Lunas Bar in the hotel Park Plaza Histria, director of the Book Fair(y) in Istria Magdalena Vodopija announced this year's award "Libar za vajk". The aim of this award is to remind of the importance of the booksellers and encourage publishers to create non-commercial books.The general sponsor of the award is the Arena Hospitality Group, and the prize consists of a sculpture designed by the designer Mauricio Ferlin and a cash prize in the amount of 15,000 KN, while the reward for the author consists of the same sculpture, a prize of five thousand kuna and a stay in the first Pula residence for the authors of "Azil Giardini 2" for 15 days.

The prize contest “Pula Card 2017” took place during the summer season 2017, in the period: 15.06.-15.09. Each person that bought “Pula Card 2017” could visit the Arena, Augustus Temple, Zerostrasse tunnels, Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria, Sacred Hearts (Sveta srca) Museum Gallery and Museum of Contemporary Art of Istria at a lower entry price, participated in the prize contest and win one of the valuable prizes.

On Friday, September 29, the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and Croatia and the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China under the title "Together in the lighter future" was celebrated. The celebration took place in the Pula Arena, which was illuminated in red as the symbol of China. Also, a spectacular Chinese firework was held, the longest fireworks in the history of Pula, which delighted all visitors.
