72nd Pula Film Festival

Pula Amphitheater

The Pula Film Festival, founded in 1954, is the oldest film festival in Croatia and one of the most prestigious cultural events in the country. It takes place every year during the summer, in July or August, within the spectacular setting of the Roman amphitheater – the Pula Arena.

In addition to screenings of films open to the public, the festival also hosts the annual awards ceremony of the Croatian film industry. The Golden Arenas, which are presented during the festival, represent the most important national film awards and are the Croatian version of the American Oscars.
